How can we best equip students to be engaged by and meaningfully participate in our democracy? Strengthening experiential civic education provides one practical pathway to building trust and democratic knowledge. This webinar will explore what we know about experiential civic education for students, what we need to know, and how we can support existing offerings for students.
About Professor Print
Professor Murray Print is a recognised leader in civics and political education and curriculum development within Australia and internationally. He has directed many major research projects such as an ARC-funded project on youth participation in democracy, as well as being chief investigator in many other projects in civics and citizenship education.
Professor Print was Lead Writer and Team Leader of the Australian Curriculum Civics and Citizenship (ACCC) for ACARA. He also conducted the research that led to the formation of the National Assessment Program Civics and Citizenship (NAPCC) assessments and was responsible for the alignment of the NAPCC with the ACCC in 2016-2018.
Professor Print is an active member of the Australian Resilient Democracy Network (ARDN) and has published a paper for the ARDN on experiential civic education.
