Focus Question 3: How Do We Characterise Human Rights in Australia?
Today Australia has a reputation as a country with one of the best human rights records in the world. For most of last century, however, Indigenous Australians did not always enjoy the same rights and protections as other Australians. In this unit students will explore how the human rights we all enjoy came to be part of our law, and how they are developed and protected.
