For the Good of All: Activity One
Constitutional Groups – Identifying Arguments and Perspectives
- Photocopy Worksheet One, and cut out the perspective cards according to the number of student groups planned for the activity.
- Divide students into ‘constitutional’ groups and inform them that are to draw up a constitution employing different perspectives as they would in a role play.
- Provide students with the perspective cards and the issues list on Worksheet Two.
- Instruct students that they will be required to select or draw a perspective from a ‘hat’, and consider what kind of laws they will have for each issue on the list. Remind them to record the views from all perspectives for every issue.
