Citizenship in a Democracy

Students understand that Australian citizens are influenced by, and can in turn influence, regional and global events, including issues of environmental sustainability.

They have the opportunity to:

  • explore links between Australia and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including social and political connections
  • recognise ways in which current and future global issues may impact on Australians and other people in the Asia-Pacific region
  • participate in civic or environmental action to affect positive change
